![]() ![]() For a series with such great soundtracks you'd expect it to use some or provide its own on the same level, but instead it's all pretty generic. Another thing worth mentioning is that the music kind of blows. The Nerscylla fight in particular looks especially bad. It's something you just have to get used to, but the real problem is the animation which looks like an amateur SFM animation. Before release a lot of criticism was thrown at the models and art style, as it seems like most of them are ripped straight from the games. The animation is by far the biggest problem. Now the characters aren't all that great, but they do feel like the characters from the games and being accurate to the games is definitely the films strong suit, however. The film has a ton of problems, as a lot of the story and character moments are very generic, and are things we've seen thousands of times. The plot is solid for a Monster Hunter movie, and for the fans, I like that the whole story fits perfectly in with the games' fairly loose canon. It wasn't great, but it wasn't downright awful. The plot follows the Ace Cadet before he became the Ace Cadet, as he teams up with the other Ace hunters along with a few others to steer a Lunastra away from his village. We finally got our accurate Monster Hunter movie. If you guys don't know, I'm the movie review guy on the Godzilla fandom and also have a miniscule Letterboxd account, so I review a lot of movies, so here's what I thought of the Monster Hunter movie.
